Uxbridge v Tiverton Town
Saturday February 7th
3pm Kick Off
At The Honeycroft

The Yellows’ will make the journey to West London on Saturday, after being one of a number of side's to have not been in action after the treacherous weather took its toll on the previous weekend's games. The backlog of fixtures are beginning to mount up and all will be hoping that this game goes ahead.
It's a long way back now for this group of players, although pride and professionalism will be to the fore in dressing room discussion’s and until survival is off the menu and even if the trap door open’s, everyone that pull’s on a Yellow shirt will be giving their all.
A few player movement’s have seen loanee’s Goalkeeper Matt Wonnacott and defender Harry Hutchinson return to their parent club’s and Hutchinson I believe has now left Dorchester and moved on. Both arrived during testing times, were professional and had some good moment’s with Asa Hall’s side.
In the earlier meeting between the Two back in September, the team's shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, at the Slee Blackwell Stadium. However Nine places and Twenty points separate the two side's following Saturday's round of fixtures. Our host's played out another 1-1 draw with Basingstoke, then.
The Red's have Danny Edward's on managerial duties and he is into a 20th season in the dugout. Fifteen of those were spent at Chalfont St Peter. Edward's has been at the Honeycroft since the 2021/22 campaign. The UEFA A licence coach has additionally been part of Coaching teams at Chelsea and Southampton.
Uxbridge were founded in 1871 and are one of the oldest club's in the south of England. An Isthmian League side in the past, they achieved promotion to this division last season. The Red's have performed commendably during this campaign and wins against Gloucester and Gosport emphasise their capabilities. However they have only won twice in the last Three months.
Centre Forward Nnamdi Nwachuku leads the way for the home side in their scoring charts, but the goal's have very much been spread around the team. Nwachuku is 31 and his formative year's were spent in Colchester's academy sides. Higher non league side's Braintree and Welling were previous port's of call. The Eight goal striker has played in this division for; Basingstoke and Gosport.
Wide attacking player George Moore has also been on the scoresheet. The skilful performer has Six goals to his name and prior to joining the Red's in the 2023/24 campaign he was with former opponent's of ours Harrow Borough. His strong display's make him a handful at this level.
Farnborough loanee, forward thinking midfielder Frank Keita is another source of goal's, his 8 from 22 games indicate a serious threat and his good feet and undoubted ability make him a tricky proposition. He's another to have been with Harrow Borough. The experienced Keita's other former side's include Boreham Wood and Hendon.
When much travelled midfielder Harry Rush's senior career was in its infancy he was at Maidenhead. The dependable and seasoned performer's talents have seen him ply his trade at Chesham and spend a notable amount of time with league rival's Hanwell. He’s very much central to his Manager's plans and has been almost a constant, this term.
Liam Tack is another seasoned performer, who established himself previously at Bracknell. The attacking midfielder had Three season's there, but started his senior career with Amersham In 2012. Tack moved to the Honeycroft this term and has both ability and pedigree.
Combative ball winner Toby Nadozie is a mainstay of the current team. The energetic and cultured midfield player is into his second season with the Reds’ and is formerly of Harrow Borough, Rayners Lane and Risborough Rangers.
Having completed Thirteen campaigns with Farnborough, centre back and Captain CJ Fearn is a massive influence on this Uxbridge side. He Joined our host's last term. A physical and commanding presence, Fearn is a good organiser, who played over 300 games for his former side.
Defender Jordan Stepney who a little way into the season signed from league rival's Farnham, has hit the ground running at his new club. Overall he has played 29 games in this division, during this campaign. He was once with Hartley and Wintney and played briefly in the Southern League Premier South in the 2019/20 season.
Left back Casey Bocarro has become a regular starter. The talented defender until this season had despite his ability only played in lower non league football and became an Uxbridge player, last term. Bernie Tanner who in the past was a key figure in the Met Police backline is another very strong option. His CV also includes; Farnborough, Chertsey, Hanwell and Enfield.
In possession of the gloves is Marco Underwood. The youngster is a big talent and is on loan from Premier League, Fulham. The highly thought of keeper was spotted by the Cottagers’ whilst he was at Woking.
There are no foregone conclusions in this league. Home form hasn't been a strong point for the West London team and last time they ran out winners at the Honeycroft was in November, when they perhaps upset the odds in defeating Gloucester. Can we register what would be a Third victory on our travels? Asa Hall's men will have to play to their full capacity, as you invariably have to, to take points at this level.
