New Chairman Appointed.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Moorcroft as the new chairman of Tiverton Town Football Club.

Ian has been a long-standing supporter of the club and for a number of years a director on the board. Ian has also been, and remains as, one of the major sponsors of the football club. In recognition of Ian’s involvement over the years, the stadium was renamed after him with the ground becoming ‘The Ian Moorcroft Stadium’

Ian takes his position with immediate effect and everyone at the club would like to welcome him in to his new role. On talking to Ian he was absolutely delighted to take on the position of Chairman and commented.

“I am honoured to be asked to be chairman of the club and I am excited to take on the baton from Pete Buxton” “Pete and the other directors guided the club through a really successful period which culminated in promotion. It leaves us in a fantastic position on the pitch and I look forward to seeing the team back playing as soon as the situation allows”.

“Off the pitch we have some exciting plans In the pipeline and together with our wonderful team of volunteers we hope to bring these plans to fruition as soon as possible”.

“I would like to thank all our supporters, sponsors and volunteers who have been so supportive during this difficult period. We hope to invite you back to the stadium as soon as it is possible so we can start making plans for the future”.

“Lastly I would like to thank Martyn, Scott and the rest of the team who have been working hard on the football front and I am sure news will be released as and when it’s appropriate to do so. We had an exciting team last year and I look forward to seeing how we continue and build on that. It certainly makes me look forward to seeing everybody back as soon as possible”.
