The goal will be to extend the winning run at Falmouth in this evening fixture, but victory will bring other rewards too for Tiverton. It would see them continue their climb up the table and also move above the Cornwall side, who currently reside in ninth place, two places above the Yellows’.

Plenty of incentives then, in yet another six pointer. Aiden Horne should come back into the reckoning for this match, as the coaching team are in a healthy predicament over team selection. Fitness depending, they could name an unchanged Eleven or matchday squad, but could equally rotate the personnel in the squad, with the intense schedule. Josh Bissett will be facing his previous team mates.

The arrival of Toby Stephens brings further competition for places in midfield and with Louis Jagger Cane stepping up his fitness and Dan Koita’s return also going to be happening in coming weeks, the same will be true soon in the forward areas. The squad is shaping up nicely.

Equally though, best of luck to promising youngsters Caleb Pryce-Hall and Finn Hodge, who have started their loan spell at Corsham. Go well lads!

Asa Hall’s side will once again have to maintain the high standards set during their four game unbeaten run. Complacency or a dropping off in performance is unlikely to be enough against a Falmouth team that are typically strong on home soil.  However, Willand and Slimbridge have returned home from Bickland Park with all three points, this term.

Whilst Tiverton were enjoying their best day of the season so far, with a dominant display away at Shaftesbury, emerging as 4-1 winners in Dorset, Falmouth looked like they had earned a good point at Hungerford. That was until two late goals from the home side, meant that they returned home empty-handed.

John Fabby manages the town and was appointed manager in Pre-season, after being part of long-serving Andy Westgarth’s coaching team, following his departure. There is a core of players who like himself have been at the club for a while and key signings that were made ahead of the season.

Forward Oscar Massey leads the way on the scoring front for the Cornish side, amassing six goals in nine games and is the gifted, son of ex EFL pro and popular Cornwall football figure Steve Massey. He was a young pro firstly with Plymouth Argyle and then Swindon, playing a senior game for each. Beforehand he was in Truro’s academy.

The 22 year old spent time on loan at Hungerford, Wantage, Plymouth Parkway and Tavistock, whilst with Swindon and his football travels have also taken him to Barnstaple, Mousehole and Penzance. This is a second stint with Falmouth and since re-signing has played 44 league games and has an impressive return of 23 goals.

Falmouth appear to be strong in attacking areas and Striker Luke Barner has five goals from nine games. He has been part of Town’s team since they were promoted into the Southern League and is becoming more prolific by the season. The talented forward notched 16 league goals in the last campaign and has found the net 34 times from 87 games.

Former Tavistock goal-getter Liam Prynn is also in the host’s Armoury. Although he hasn’t yet fired for his new team, since arriving from Mousehole, But if he plays, he will definitely need a close eye. Prynn, who began with Torquay, played for them as a 16 year old and then he was scouted by Aston Villa and became an academy player for them

After feeling homesick he returned back to Devon. He briefly came back to Torquay and had a loan stint with Bideford. His scoring feats for Tavistock, spanned 8 campaigns. Twenty Nine now, he accumulated 63 goals in this division for the Lambs in 107 matches, between 2022/23 and the end of the 2024/25 season.

Vastly experienced, 31 year old midfielder Andy Elcock spent his formative years in Plymouth Argyle’s academy, before moving on to Bath. He is in a second stint with our hosts, was a talisman for Mousehole and the cultured performer’s services have also been acquired by; Paulton Rovers, Yate, Cirencester and Tavistock.

Fellow midfielder Ollie Evans has developed into a regular starter for Falmouth and has just finished his studies at Falmouth University. He is highly regarded at the club and strong technically. The attacking midfielder can also play as a forward.

With over 250 appearances to his name for the Town over the last eight seasons, midfield player Jack Webber who was an important player, in their rise to the Southern League, has shown tremendous commitment to the club and the combative workhorse is very much a favourite with the home fans.

Jared Sims as a teenager made 9 first team appearances for Plymouth between 2011 and 2013. The attacking midfielder spent the 2013/14 season at Truro. Moving on in the next campaign to St Austell, then playing for a host of Cornish sides. The gifted technician spent a few seasons at Mousehole, prior to joining Falmouth in the 2024/25 season. He is a fixture in the team.

Central defender and club Captain Tom Annear has played in excess of 300 times for the home side and been an influential and inspirational figure in his time with the Town. With strong leadership qualities on and off the field, Annear was an ever present last term and is once again a permanent fixture.

Plymouth academy product Malachi Davy was released in May by the Pilgrims. Manager Fabby moved quickly to sign him and the well balanced young defender has quickly established himself in the backline, at his new club.

Latest signing Paolo Sousa enjoyed eight successful campaigns with Mousehole. Comfortable in a number of positions, the football playing defender is quick and a good distributor of the ball. Portuguese born, the left footer looks like a valuable addition to the squad.

Keeper Morgan Jones, had a football upbringing with Plymouth Argyle and then Truro. The highly thought of Gloveman has made the goalkeeping position his own and was previously with fellow Cornish side Helston.

It’s another big test for the Yellows', who will bet intent on building momentum and will hope to continue their rich vein of form in Cornwall. Tiverton will hope for a worthwhile journey and Falmouth will be looking to bounce back, under the lights.
