Combative midfielder Harford is another new face for the Yellows.

Virtually an ever-present for Brixham in Southern League Division 1 South last term, 24 year old combative, midfield/utility player Cole Harford has agreed terms with Asa Hall and his management team. 

Speaking at the ground to our media team, he told them of his reasoning for deciding on the Yellows;

“It's a massive club in Devon and I just really want to be part of it. I know most of the lads and I'm really excited to start again.”

He is an Exeter City academy product who is a former team mate of Jay Stansfield. Subsequently after his release from the Grecians, he joined Torquay's academy. There he became a prominent member of the Gulls U 18 side.

Describing what he will bring to the squad that is building nicely at the Slee Blackwell Solicitors Stadium, when asked, he continued;

“That’s a tough question. I think anyone who knows me knows that I will try to do everything that is asked of me and can play in most positions. I like to give 100%.”

Previously with both Barnstaple and Buckland, Harford is a versatile footballer who has been much in demand with other local divisional rivals and has had plenty of suitors in the off season following relegation with the Fisherman.

Having played in this league in the season prior to this one, he is fully aware of the qualities needed at this level and said on this topic;

“I think as a team we need to be strong and compact. It’s a tough league! It will be hard, but we have the ability in the squad to be competitive.”

A talented sportsman. As a cricketer, the Left-Armer plays in the top league in Devon, the Tolchards Devon Cricket League Premier Division. He has represented the county at age group levels.
