Wright Here, Right Now!

A bright light in that difficult final stretch of fixtures that completed the season, Charlie Wright, who has penned a deal for this term, served notice of his technical abilities and strong potential—the 21-year-old attacking midfielder/forward bagged an eye-catching brace in the home game against Gosport.

The blossoming talent has played in the Southern League Division 1 for Barnstaple, Willand and Bideford. The latter club was his last port of call before he arrived at Ladysmead.

He enjoyed a good goal return with 8 goals from 29 games for Willand in the 2023/24 season, where he first worked with first-team coach David Steele.

Wright's football journey also saw him play for Cardiff Met in the Welsh Premier League, whilst continuing his education there. Asa Hall, Steve Orchard, David Steele and Lee Lashenko continue to assemble their squad for the 26/27 campaign.
